Fees

As I have retirement, Social Security  this is not my principal income. I am slowing down in some
ways but still have a strong interest in technology as it relates to small business.
I can my fees at a reasonable level to provide affordability to small business.
I believe that they are well below levels for consultants and support personnel in this area of business.

Keep in mind that in order to offer good technical advice, I must have installed in my office a
variety of equipment and software in order to have thorough familiarity with it. My experience
has shown that I will likely spend about an hour for every client hour on research, studies and, in
general keeping up to date.

A geek-on-your-staff would require a fair salary, benefits, vacation, insurance, workman's comp, etc.
When I'm done in your office, I "ring out".   Enuf said!

Hourly fee is $50 per hour
   - Typically I have a two hour minimum fee if called in for unscheduled problems.
   - Typically do not charge for reasonable duration phone calls to assist with issues.
   - I can usually be contacted during normal working hours + evenings and weekends
      for emergencies or questions.
   - Business support outside a 25 mile radius of Whitney Point may require extra fees.
Business support includes evaluating the business for effective PC usage, recommendations for such things
as Hardware, Software, Upgrades, Networking, education, etc. Hardware repairs,
software problem resolution, network setup and problem resolution are also part of my
support. For some businesses I perform routine scheduled preventive maintenance -
this assures that your people are free to do their job and insures that it does get done.

Web Design is $40.00 per hour
   - We're not talking gee-whiz design stuff here - just basic web pages
       - Also knowledge of hosting services - the best prices.
          - If you want local hosting, I know where to send you and why.
       - If you need Gee-Whiz design, I know who to recommend.

Caveats:
1. I am not a Microsoft Certified Technician but usually have the ability to solve most problems
2. Not a Microsoft Certified Network Technician but can build and maintain effective networks
     for small business environments

Where a problem requires outside tech support, beyond my experience, I will be glad to refer
you to someone who can help through my contacts.
